One of the things I love most about working with children is their honesty. They’re never shy about telling you how they feel, especially when they're sitting in a dental chair. Building their trust, helping them feel comfortable, and watching their confidence grow with each visit is what makes pediatric dentistry so rewarding to me.
I feel incredibly fortunate to spend my days doing what I love, caring for children and getting to know their families. My goal has always been to provide exceptional dental care in an environment where children feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely excited to visit. I believe that a positive experience early in life can shape the way a child feels about dentistry for years to come.
I earned my Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Stony Brook University and completed my pediatric dental residency at One Brooklyn Health Hospital. Throughout my career, community service has been especially important to me. I've had the opportunity to provide dental care in underserved communities in the Dominican Republic, Egypt, and Bolivia. Those experiences strengthened my appreciation for the importance of access to quality healthcare and the difference that compassion and patience can make.
What I enjoy most about pediatric dentistry is the relationships I build with my patients. There's something special about watching children grow, seeing their personalities develop, and helping them become more comfortable and confident with each visit. I take the time to understand every child's needs, because no two children are alike, and I believe their dental care should reflect that.
Outside the office, I enjoy traveling, riding my Peloton, discovering new restaurants, and spending quality time with friends and family.
I look forward to meeting you and your family, earning your child's trust, and being part of their journey toward a lifetime of healthy smiles.
Warmly,
Dr. Sarah Salama
